Dr Sam Nayrouz is an accomplished London-based consultant psychiatrist and clinical professor of psychiatry with over 29 years of experience in mental health and particular expertise in the areas of depressive, bipolar, post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders, and adult ADHD.

Dr Nayrouz has extensive experience in medico-legal work and has acted as a psychiatric expert witness for the Courts and Tribunals since 2013. He devotes a significant proportion of his private work to undertaking work as a psychiatric expert witness for the Courts, undertaking assessments, producing expert reports, and giving oral evidence in Civil, Criminal and Family Courts. Dr Nayrouz has been awarded ‘The Cardiff University Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate’ in Civil Law and Procedure by the Cardiff University School of Law and Politics and Bond Solon Expert Witness Accreditation Scheme”.

Dr Nayrouz has been a consultant psychiatrist at West London NHS Trust since 2005 and the Director of Clinical Studies since 2014. Dr Nayrouz has been a clinical professor of Psychiatry at AUC Medical School since 2019 and a principal clinical teacher of Psychiatry at the Imperial Medical School since 2021 after being an honorary senior lecturer at the Imperial Medical School between 2005 to 2021.

Dr Nayrouz has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1997 and has been on the GMC Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry and Old Age Psychiatry since 2004. He has been approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act since 1997.

Dr Nayrouz has held various clinical, managerial, and leadership roles at West London NHS Trust, including Senior Clinical Lead, Affective (Mood) Disorders Lead, Bipolar NICE Guidelines Implementation Lead, Adult ADHD Lead, and Physical Healthcare Lead.

Dr Nayrouz has been a member of the Medicine Management and Optimisation Committee since 2015. Besides working in a Crisis, Assessment and Treatment Team, Dr Nayrouz has been the Lead Consultant of a Single Point of Access Service since 2016, which was nominated for the National ‘HSJ British Healthcare Award’ and the local ‘West London Trust Quality Award’. Dr Nayrouz received multiple excellence awards in recognition of his work and ranked in the top 10 per cent of UK psychiatrists participating in a Royal College of Psychiatrists 360 patients’ feedback.

Dr Nayrouz worked as a psychiatric examiner at the Imperial Medical School and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He undertook his psychiatric training at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Psychiatric Training Schemes in London.

His thesis was on the virtual reality-based training of surgeons to perform carotid surgery - research focused on improving the safety and efficiency of surgical training, and supervised by Mr John Wolfe and Lord Ara Darzi.

Professor Keith Gomez is a consultant haematologist at the Cleveland Clinic London Hospital. His expertise is in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolisms, and iron infusions.

Professor Gomez studied St Thomas’ Medical School of the University of London, and graduated in 1992. He undertook haematology during the North London training programme, after which he became part of the Haemostasis Research Group of the Medical Research Council. He completed his doctorate, in the development of models of tissue factor-initiated blood coagulation, in 2006 at the Imperial College London.

Mr G. Michael Hess is a highly skilled consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon based at the London Spine Clinic and the KIMS Hospital (Kent). He also undertook a fellowship in spine surgery and interventional radiology at the University Hospital in Quebec City. Following this, he was made lead of the Back Pain Center at Orthopaedische Klinik Muenchen-Harlaching. 

Mr Hess's years of experience have given him expertise in a wide range of endoscopic techniques and thanks to this, he has gained an excellent, world-renowned reputation in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery and interventional pain therapy. Impressively, he helped to perform the world's first successful fully endoscopic nucleus replacement surgery in 2009 and is currently the principal clinical investigator of an international multicenter study for a novel nucleus implant. To add to what is an already-stand-out medical cirriculum, he is also the former president of the German Interventional Spine Society. 

To-date, the exceptional Mr Hess has presented over 200 scientific papers, and since 2003, has held the position of Master Instructor for Spine Intervention Society (SIS) in the US and Europe. He has recently been offered to be a proctor for spinal endoscopy at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore

Impressively, Mr Sundaram spent a further two years at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields, where he occupied the role as principal ophthalmologist for the world's first gene therapy trial for inherited retinal disease, and Europe's first retinal stem cell therapy trial.  To date, Mr Sundaram has published an extensive amount of work that have been published in some of the most prestigious ophthalmology journals worldwide. He is the lead author of the "Training in Ophthalmology" textbook published by Oxford University Press, which is widely used by trainee eye surgeons.

Mr Simon Butler-Manuel is a pioneering consultant gynaecologist based in London and Surrey, specialising in laparoscopy, robotic surgery and fibroids alongside gynaecological cancer, minimal access surgery and hysterectomies. Mr Butler-Manuel qualified from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School at the University of London in 1988. He went on to train at St Thomas and Queen Charlotte's Hospital before pursuing gynaecological cancer care and laparoscopic surgery under the esteemed tutelage of Professor Christopher Sutton. 

Mr Butler-Manuel has worked on many varied clinical and surgical research projects alongside academic papers, which have been published in various peer-reviewed publications. He is a recognised surgical teacher too, working as the Royal College of Gynaecologist's Subspecialty Training Programme Supervisor at the Royal Surrey and is regularly invited to speak or teach on professional courses, meetings and at conferences both in the UK and abroad.

Mr Butler-Manuel is also an active member of various associations including British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS), The British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS).
